Lie Tjoen Tjay

Born in Jakarta on November 16, 1931, he has had a passion for painting since childhood. He is self-taught and specializes in watercolor, oil, and acrylic painting. From 1956 until now, he has participated in over 100 exhibitions, including the Young Painters Association at Chandra Naya Jakarta, Balai Budaya, Chase Manhattan Bank, Erasmus Huis Jakarta, French Cultural Center, and JePang in Jakarta, as well as painting fairs at Hotel Mandarin, Hotel Hilton, and Galeri Jaya Ancol, Kamboja Studio at Hotel Radisson. He has also participated in Jakarta painters' exhibitions at TIM and Bentara Budaya in Jakarta, as well as Biennale at TIM, Collective and Dual Persona exhibitions at Mon Décor Galeri, Flower Charms exhibition at Edwins Galeri, Self-Portrait exhibition at Duta Fine Arts Galeri, Artistika exhibition at Nusantara Galeri, Beautiful Nature Harmony exhibition at sari GALLERI Jakarta, Indonesia Watercolor and Sculpture Union exhibition at Hilton, 3 Asian Traveling Exhibition of painting, and in several countries including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
