Krisna Murti

I Nyoman Gunarsa, a prominent Indonesian artist known for his vibrant and expressive paintings. Born on April 19, 1957, in Kupang-Timor, Gunarsa pursued his education in the arts at several prestigious institutions.

From 1976 to 1981, he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), a renowned art school in Indonesia. Following his undergraduate studies, Gunarsa furthered his education by studying industrial design under Prof. Frank Sander in Germany in 1986, broadening his artistic horizons.

However, his pursuit of artistic mastery didn't stop there. From 1988 to 1991, Gunarsa delved into the intricacies of Traditional Balinese Painting under the tutelage of Made Tubuh in Batuan Village, Bali, immersing himself in the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Bali.

His dedication and talent were recognized internationally when he received an award badge from Windsor and Newton-England, further solidifying his reputation as a skilled and accomplished artist. Throughout his career, Gunarsa's work has been celebrated for its bold colors, dynamic compositions, and incorporation of Balinese cultural motifs, earning him a place as one of Indonesia's most influential contemporary artists.
